Are we better off now than we were with Lovie Smith?

Since we are talking about Coaching and GMs, my 2 cents forthcoming.
I'm really losing faith fast in the current regime. This team should be making steps forward by now and instead we look not much better than we were in 2014 under Emery/Trestman.
Here's some major moves by Pace/Fox since then:
A) Hired John Fox
B) Traded away an elite WR
C) Traded away an above-average TE
D) Released (in effect) his best remaining weapon on O in Forte
E) Drafted Kevin White at #7
F) Drafted Leonard Floyd on a trade-up to #9
G) Hired Logg to replace the departed Gase
H) Abandoned RBBC "playing the hot hand" in favor of basically handing the job to Langford
I) Failed in 2 drafts to even attempt to start a Cutler succession plan
There may be "reasons" for all of those things and each of us may not even disagree with all those things even with the benefit of hindsight but I think we all can agree that the team (THIS YEAR ANYWAY) is far worse off because of them.
A) Looking more and more like a mistake. There doesn't appear to be a "year 2 jump" anywhere on the horizon. Fox looks like a very questionable game-day HC to say the least and his management on the O side looks like a total disaster.
B) I hated this move right when it happened and said so at the time. A huuuuuuge mistake, no matter what the other off-field issues were.
C) Should have made him play out his contract year here and kicked that can down the road another year, at least until a plausible young replacement was on the roster.
D) This one bothered me less than the 2 above it and I admit to being wrong here. The fact that they went after CJ Anderson tells you they weren't sure about Langford and therefore shouldn't have counted on him.
E) A direct result of "B" IMO even if he was "bpa" at the time. I don't see White as ever justifying his lofty draft status. Simply a terrible pick, esp for a "rebuilding" team.
F) I think the best this move will ever be is IF Floyd becomes a good situational rusher. He doesn't look like he will ever be a true 3-down OLB and certainly not one worth the #9 pick. Hated it in April and I still hate this pick.
G) This looks like quite possibly the worst move of the bunch and that's saying a lot. Logg should be fired immediately as he's utterly inept as a playcaller. 3rd and 2 on the enemy's 38 and we PASS with a 2nd string QB playing? RUN THE DAMN BALL TWICE there. Every freaking time in that situation.
H) Langford is officially a BUST as a "starter". The coaching staff still doesn't seem to see that. Simpy amazing.
I) I think we are all done with Cutler by now. I'm not scapegoating him alone but its clear he will never reach the level his physical talent seemed to promise. Part of that in Chicago wasn't his fault. Part of it IS. Now that's its clear he's not "the future", we have no one on the roster waiting to be developed. And based on E & F, I have little confidence in Pace to draft his replacement even if we end up with a top-5 pick (which is looking more and more likely).
All in all, the team is an utter dumpster fire right now and I see nothing to be optimistic about for 2017, especially on offense. I guess that's what happens when you repeatedly whiff on coaches and 1st round draft picks year after year after year. Sorry to be such a downer but you need a high powered telescope to see any silver linings on these storm clouds.
