If we go 1-7 like I predict he will be gone. Honestly I hope he stays until next season. We need his terrible play calling to get us a real QB. ( Meaning I want to tank for Cutler's replacement )

He is the one coach who I think is on the hot seat. He's going to have to prove he can make some adjustments for all of the changes made on the offense. May have to get a little creative with the playbook or something. Try and figure out the team's strengths and game plan around them. He's also going to have to have a different strategy based on the defense they are going up against. It's not going to be easy but that's what he gets paid to do now.
He will complete the season. Think about this. How are we going to attract a solid OC to a rebuilding franchise, if we fire Loggains after a few games? If the Bears would do that, a solid OC prospect may think twice before coming here to a rebuilding franchise. Sure a crap guy might come here who is desperate. But any hot OC candidate, with multiple offers, is probably not going to give Chicago the time of day - because he'll figure they won't give him the time to prove himself here.
Let Loggains have this season. We're going nowhere this year anyway. I don't care who you bring here right now. I don't think this is an offense that is gonna light it up this year for anyone. Not without an OL. Not with the starting QB with a bum throwing hand (Jay won't be 100% even when he returns... if he returns this year). And what is a new guy gonna do with Hoyer at QB? Lose.
Next year though. Bring in a solid OC. And add some more talent to the O roster too.
I think he'll last the season, because McCaskeys won't want to replace him, fox is lovie2 and will stick with his guy. I also think he should be dumped now.
If the bills can fire an oc 2 weeks in, why can't we?
I think he will be here for the whole season for much the same reasons as JABF outlined. My real concern is that if he turns out to be the offensive version (see what I did there?) of Tucker, will they have the cajones to make a change or just say he is the right guy and pretend the issues were only with the players and injuries?

That's a good point. My hope is that they will do the right thing and move on from him if he can't drastically improve over the next 14 games.
He shouldn't survive this week. He's a bum, and the Bills OC was waxed for no reason they should be on the phone w/him right now.
Is our goal as a franchise to become a crap team like the Buffalo Bills? I hope not. My hope is that we climb out of this hole and become more like the better NFL teams. I don't think Belichick fires OC's after 2 games. Maybe he's on to something.
