I know we have talked about White's proverbial bust status but his 5th year rookie option must be decided by May 3rd. Pace has approximately 5 weeks to decide on whether to allocate more than 14M to a receiver who has played a very sparse 5 games in 3 swasons. For me it is a no brainer to decline it. But some may argue against. The big thing that strikes me is that he would be guaranteed top 10 receiver money at over 14M.

Thoughts?

Who in their right mind would argue against it? So far even Josh Bellamy has been 100x more productive than White. This is a redux of the Kyle Fuller situation and the proper time to deal with it is next winter.

Redux it may be but Pace has to decide whether to pick up the option as obvious as it may be. Rinse and repeat.

No, just like Fuller before him; and lets hope that he has a Fuller like healthy and good season so all the fans that agree w/the move revisit it and complain how the Bears didn't sign him to it

It’s not even a question. You’re not paying $14m to a guy who’s played 6 games in 3 years.

In fact, I doubt White is even on the team in 2019. He’s gonnna have to have to have a productive and healthy year just to merit serious consideration in my mind.
