yep. Depends on how good and how fast he becomes good. If it is not apparent in TC that he is starting to get it, he may not make it. However, I suspect that next year will be his real problem. I don't think they will cut him this year. He is going to be paid either way and Nagy has made it a point to help him get better. This is his last shot with the Bears at least.
They can't let White go BIH because they have a fortune in rods invested in him. I'm just thankful the cap isn't impacted by rods... we'd surely be over the rod cap by now.
The dreaded rod CAP. Yet another rod CAP casualty.

Kinda figured we'd get rail-rodded on that one sooner or later.
Bellamy's true value is as a ST Gunner. That's really all that will keep him on the roster.
I know, doesn't Change that I don't like him as Player
It's OK to hate on him as a WR and if he's gonna be a cry baby over our signing ARob and Gabriel you can hate on him as a human being too. LOL
For two seasons running he had many chances to step into a role as a trusted option at WR and he simply lacks the overall talent to do it. He has no one to blame but himself. He sealed at least part of his fate back in 2016 when he cost us a couple of potential wins with his drops yet he got another shot at it last season because we were thin at WR and he still failed to earn a shot this year other than as a Gunner and a backup WR.
If his Tweet is any indication of his attitude he'd better lose it fast because it's not all that tough to find fast guys who can take his place as a ST Gunner either. Training camp will be full of them.

What happened to Mcmanis? He was a bad CB but good ST gunner. Seems like Defensive players as ST players would have more tackling skills. At least that can translate to their backup role. I am not saying Bellemy is not a very good gunner, just replaceable.

McManis is a FA and so far the Bears have not offered him a contract. At age 30 he's getting a little long in the tooth for a ST Gunner and he can't play CB worth squat.
Bellamy got a $1.9 mil tender as well but so far no one seems to be pursuing him to pay him more. Bellamy is a better WR than McManis was a CB but he could easily be replaced this year by a less expensive player
