Here's my take. I actually don't think Hoyer is a horrible QB and Jay has never been as bad as some believe he is so what does that say about this offense?
Soul Hoyer is baaaad.
And maybe Cutty isnt as bad as some think, he is also not as good as some think also.
I've seen enough of Langford by now to wonder how in the hell they ever thought he'd replace Forte. If you take away two 15 yard runs in each game he's averaging less than 2 ypc. We had what, 10 yards rushing in the 1st half and Fox wants this to be a run centered team. Shit he's as big an assclown as Trestman was because he's allowing guys like Langford, White, and Massie to start when they have no business starting. It's like playing 8 against 11.
The pure fact of the matter is that is one very fucked up offense period and given what I've seen so far I don't believe it's fixable with Fox as HC insisting on his way of having an offense operate or Loggains running it. If that Gase's offense run Fox/Loggains style it look like what happens when you loan your kid brother your car and it comes back in pieces on a flat bed. Neither of them seem to know much about offensive football and how to make in game adjustments. Loggains is in the booth so at least he has a better view of his mistakes. Fox simply paces the sidelines much like Lovie did wondering what in the hell is happening.
Listen to Fox's presser. He has no answers. It's all just generic blather. He's not even sure what's wrong so how's he gonna fix it? He's another Lovie who was fortunate enough to have Manning and two very good OCs while he was here in Denver. Now he has neither OC and no Manning so he has to figure it out and I can tell from what he says he hasn't a clue.
The defense has bought into Fangio but the offense hasn't a clue. They look as bad offensively as Tucker's defenses looked. Massie is a complete catastrophe. Every team who plays us knows it and they load up on that side and beat his ass nearly every down even on runs. Right after Langford made his one good run of the night we run a sweep to the right and the Philly LB blows by Massie and drops Langford for a big loss. Even Long's play seems to be dropping off because he may be trying to compensate for his pal. It's a total clusterfuck. If you put Aaron Rodgers back there now they'd get him killed too.
If they replaced Cutler with Aaron Rodgers tomorrow they'll get him injured as well. I know Cutler feels he has to either defend Loggains or at least remain neutral but there is no defending what I've seen for two weeks. I want to see Loggains conduct a presser this week and not have the media lob softball questions at him. I'd like to see some people asking for answers and see how he responds. The defense is good enough to win games if it can stay healthy, which it's not, but that offense looks worse than most I've seen over the past decade or so and I've lost any remaining patience I have with it all.
Offense has been an age old problem with this team and it never gets any better for very long before it falls back on itself and collapses again. So like I said. I really don't give a rip what they do. They can fire Fox, or fire Loggains, or trade Cutler or dress Ginny McCaskey up in a Honey Bears costume and have GMcC play Staley. The product is substandard and once again we have no solutions so I'll be honest. They aren't a team I care to watch right now.
