This is how bad Hoyer is--the OFF staff knew Cutler was having trouble gripping the ball but they still sent him out there and ran 7 straight times before having him throw. Apparently an injured Cutler > healthy Hoyer.
Cutler is out of excuses but I'm with soul on this one. If I were Cutler I'd walk away and tell the city to kiss my ass.

And the city would soundly respond dont let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.....a decade wasted.

I rather have Hoyer losing the games for us while also throwing the ball more towards white. At least we can prepare for a top 10 pick.

problem is a top 10 won't get a top QB. You need a top 2 and still need luck even with that.

It's not a black or white thing, its very grey.
It's true this team has utterly failed to give him what he needs in a surrounding cast. Except for Trestman yr 1, he's had terrible OLs, mediocre weapons, and OCs who fool absolutely no one.
It's also true that he makes it really hard to defend him sometimes even though I know he plays his heart out. Just too many avoidable stupid INTs, uncatchable balls, and strip sacks. He's practically in the HOF for the strip sack--on the receiving end.
Ed Werder on ESPN put it very succinctly today . Cutlers guaranteed money is paid ... they're on the hook for another 16mil if they keep him , or 2mil on the cap hit if they release him . That's a 14mil diff . It makes it a no-brainer .
It's time for a change . I'm sick of holding my breath everytime he drops back to pass .
