Why I'm truly upset about this game

I'm disappointed because I called this last week. The DEF was going to come out and wait for mistakes. Sit back in their soft zones and wait. They had a shot but Fuller dropped the first chance at an INT and that was it. Fangio needed to come out blitzing, trying whatever he had to in order to rattle Hundly. But they didn't. They sat back and waited for the mistake.

Meanwhile, the OFF started off well and then regressed with the play calling. Anyone that doesn't see it is choosing not to. They.are.predictable. Why they keep running into 9 man fronts I have no idea. Even the announcers commented that Mitch needs to audible out. Pull a McMahon and audible and flip off the sideline at the LOS. To quote shark86: We got outcoached, outschemed, outplanned and outplayed.

Very disappointing.

I expected our offense to struggle because I figured we would have a suck game plan (and we did) but I expected our defense, based on the last several weeks to win the game for us. Their depleted O-line pushed our D-line around the entire game. It seemed they had 2nd & 6 or less all game. We missed tackle after tackle. I don't think we can blame Fangio for missed tackles but I would've liked a more aggressive defensive game plan & make their offense one dimensional but hell, they run for a buck 60. I knew we were in trouble when I found out Travathan wasn't going to play. He is the unquestioned leader of our D.

Does it speak highly of the players? OL couldn't get a push or protect well, DL had moments but not enough; 3rd string rb walked all over them. Trubs was all over the place w/his ball placement.

I get why people are mad at the coaches, they had a shit game also, but the players win or lose games w/their play on the field. They didn't play well enough.

You know, it almost looked to me like the team is starting to quit on the plays. Maybe it is a bit of descension within the ranks? You got to wonder if the players are just sick of the play calling or losing or both.
