Welcome to our new fan forum!

Hey all.  Another new joiner here.  Long-time chat room participant. I think I was on Monsters of the Webway for 10 years before it cratered due to awful moderation and really brutal behavior by the board owner.  I was part of a large group that left there and started Bear Fans Online, and was an active participant there for 15 years before it devolved into what I consider an un-moderated cynical and inhospitable place for folks who want to just talk ball without being trolled and sniped by folks who seem to feed more off of that stuff than having respectful interaction about our favorite team. I'm just too old for that nonsense, and can't tolerate it. I'm encouraged to see the anti-trolling philosophy here, and looking forward to seeing it in action.  

Me:  
- Bear fan since the late '60s (the last of the boomers)
- Moved from Chicago to the Detroit area 26 years ago but still die-hard Bears fan.  
- I tend to be very optimistic about the team and players until proved otherwise wrong. 
- Favorite players over time have been 51 & 55, 34, 99 (Hamp), 30 (Mike Brown), 33 (Peanut), and currently I think my favs are 6 on D and 2 & 15 on offense. 

Bear down, folks!  This is going to be a season to remember. I don't EVER remember the preseason hype being this great for any Bear team. I think this team is going to back it up!
