WATCH: Jay Cutler discusses J.J. Watt, Texans defense Dec 6, 2015; Chicago, IL, USA; By: Bryan Perez | 1 hour ago
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will be in an undesirable position this Sunday when he stares down the likes of J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney and Whitney Mercilus of the Houston Texans’ defense.
All three players are capable of putting pressure on Cutler without the use of any exotic blitz package. Watt, in particular, is the most dominant defensive player in the NFL and will pose a major and virtually unwinnable challenge to any of the Bears’ linemen he faces.
Equally concerning for Cutler and the Bears’ offense is the pressure that Mercilus is likely to bring off the edge, especially when he’s matched against right tackle Bobby Massie. The Bears’ free-agent addition isn’t the most fleet of foot; expect some big struggles in Week 1.
Cutler recently met with the media to talk about the impressive Texans’ defensive front, the addition of Josh Sitton to the offensive line, and his role as an evolving leader on the team.
I was too distracted by Jay's choice of hat to listen the first tmie through. But anyway, he sounds prepared and relatively upbeat. Hopefully the OL gives him the time to play our game instead of forcing plays. Once Jay is rattled things can detriorate quickly.

If the rush isn't being handled well Loggains needs to give him pass plays with shorter routes but that may also means the running game isn't going well and without that we're in trouble because it also means no play action to stall the rushers.
I see that Mercilus-Massie duel as the key one, hopefully Bobby can hold him down
Mercilus usually plays the right side. Massie is gonna be up against JJ most of the time. Hope he brings his lunch 'cause it's gonna be a long afternoon for him.

Hopefully Long will be good to go, so he can help
I'm thinking if we sub some fentanyl for usual pain killer we might do better. LOL

We don't need Loggains to over think the play calling, just stick with a disciplined plan. I don't expect our offense to win the game, we just need them to not lose it with turn overs.

According to his rep, and to Cutler he, doesn't. He's not into "cute" or "tricky" he's more into Lombardi style execution of some basic plays as his bread and butter game plan. I guess what I'm thinking tbear is that Jay may not get the protection he needs to go downfield much especially if play fakes don't work. If that's the case I just hope he has short quick slants and screens a plenty is his game plan to help offset the rush.
