LOL at myself. That's what I thought you meant since I wasn't sure how many knew a Peru, Indiana even existed. Man it must be beautiful country where you live but the story about shutting down the power grid is amusing.
If they did that here people would be storming the power company offices. We're a bit spoiled when it comes to public utilities and the internet. I huff and puff angrily when mine goes down.
What really funny is that being the gringos, we don't really listen to Peruvian radio or watch the local news because its all about cattle futures/prices and the latest list of dead from a bus that fell off a cliff. So about every other month we don't get the news that power will be off. So we are in bed, I'm thinking about making coffee, when my wife notices that the ceiling fan is slowing down and right about then my 15 year old starts yelling about "HOW COME NO ONE TOLD ME THE POWER WAS GOING TO BE OUT!!!" Of course no one charged any devices that night and my 13 year old gripes all day about having to read real books instead of her kindle.
It would be interesting to find a few Texan sources about the game.
The Texans open the season with a home win against a team that simply isn't very good. A win is a win, so they take it gladly. Quarterback Brock Osweiler starts to silence some of his critics with a strong outing. The defense will struggle a little thanks to J.J. Watt missing all of the preseason, but this is a good team to work the kinks out on.
Record 1-0

Week 1 Chicago -- Win
This game will be closer than most people think. This will be Brock Osweiler's first game against a real NFL defense as a Texan and he will make a couple mistakes, but so will Jay Cutler in a sloppy game. But ultimately the Bears secondary will not be able to slow down DeAndre Hopkins, who scores the winning touchdown.
Record 1-0

The Bears offense is a complete mess since Matt Forte left, and Jay Cutler is not a terrible quarterback, but he's not really good either. I think Houston will try to establish a running game to help Brock Osweiler to get comfortable. J.J. Watt will struggle, but the linebackers will be able to get some good pressure on Cutler. I'm thinking a double-digit win.

Did ya move down there for work? or Family stuff?
Work. I volunteer with a non-profit American school for ex-pats and my wife does relief flying for local governments (she's a pilot with 18 years of jungle flying experience.) We get back to Chicago every 3 years or so for a few months. We were in Brazil for 15 years hence brasilbear.

The catastrophe of the modern age is when our children actually need to do things the "old fashioned way". LOL I'm sure they'd have hated what life was like every day when I grew up and we actually had to leave the house to play sports instead of doing via a computer or an Xbox.

Oh now that has to be interesting as all hell. She's a South American version of an Alaskan Bush Pilot. As a former pilot my hat's off to her. She has some real challenges on her hands.

They seem pretty confident and with good reason but along with many other media types they woefully over estimate the loss of Matt Forte to our offense. It's far more the shakiness of the OL so far and the lack of overall coordination on the part of the offense in general that are causing problems not so much the loss of Matt himself. He can't gain yardage when there's no blocking either.
Most of the time. ESPN International shows 1 Sunday game + Sunday Night + Monday Night and FOX Sports International shows the other Sunday afternoon game. I have a few streaming sources and of course I ********** the games a few days later.

Can you get a streaming device in Brazil: apple TV, Roku, Fire TV and buy Sunday Ticket off of that like in the US?

We could, last time I was in the states I ran out of time with all the shopping I had to do. I see 15 games a year either on satellite or streaming. I might miss one or two due to work commitments or other things we are involved. All in all I have it pretty good. Of course when the stream stutters right at the snap on 4th and goal I do tend to scream a little bit. Never stutters during commercials though, very strange.
