Last season we ranked 20th in the NFL in defense - points per game allowed (24.8 YPG allowed). What is your prediction for THIS season? Will we be better, worse or about the same?

I voted better. But that is assuming we don't get hit with the injury bug this year. If we stay relatively healthy, I think 15th - 18th is our floor for this year.
I can't imagine the defense NOT being better than 20th in the NFL this season. Our D arrow is definitely pointing up... at least up from that 20th ranking in PPG allowed. Yes, we have some weak links on D. But Fangio will put a solid D on the field this 2nd season here in Chicago. I think that is "money" we can count on.

Our ILB's should be money this year, last year they were a Crapfest 2015

+1 That is a huge point, Alex. Huge. Our LB play just killed us last year. I see this year as a HUGE improvement with our DL and LBs. Yes we still have issues in our secondary. But just having the improvement with DL and LBs will help us perform better this year. How can it not be better?
This is a much easier prediction to make as we have a lot more room to grow and there's been a clear emphasis on improving the defense with personnel. Unless we're decimated by injuries, I think we improve.
We'll be better. Probably a lot better than everyone expects. I really like the way the D is shaping up as its the younger guys that seem to be making an impact. Our overall speed has improved too which always seemed to be lacking.
In Fangio I trust. I am big on coaching. The right coaches will get the right players in here. It might take them several years, but when you are good, you know who can do what you want and how to get them to do it. The defense will be much better IMO.
