"Xao, well to be fair the Bears didn't really "win" the offseason in most peoples opinions. Winning would have been getting Gilmore, Garapolo and a RT and a S, and maybe another CB.
What the Bears did was fill holes, create competition and make it so they won't have to reach for any one position in the draft; and in that regard they had a good free agency period."
Fair enough Ric.
Don't get me wrong Xao, Im guessing 5-8 wins next year depending on health. We are talking about maybe an extra 2-3 wins over what could have/did happen this year. And that's assuming another really good draft w/3-4 starters/serious time players out of it.
Tom Thayer breaking down some glennon plays pre and post snap
This was an impressive breakdown from a guy I trust.
Based on Glennons history and record, I am not expecting more than an average QB, but I have read and seen enough to believe that my expectations of Glennon may be low (which is the way I 'd prefer to have them) and that I am going to be pleasantly surprised. Wouldn't that be be great?
I value coolness and decision making in a QB as much as I do accuracy and Glennon may have that mix. Just like everyone else.... we'll see in TC, preseason and after the season starts.

When I first heard the rumors of it I wasn't thrilled either, which is why I went looking for information on him. My expecations aren't high, I doubt we have an Eli or Ryan(who his ceiling has drawn comparissons to) on our hands; but if he's a better version of Orton(who his floor has been compared to), ball control manager w/a better deep ball, then I'm okay w/it until they find and develop a rookie. They just better draft a qb this year and every year after if that rookie isn't worth developing.
