Without the elite DEF and the return of the running game to earth, with no QB all that depth didn't matter. In the NFL you need depth because injuries do happen and they are unavoidable. But with out QB, no SB. There are exceptions for sure but the lack of frequency lets you know they are not the norm but the exception. A good scheme + good backup QB play can succeed, but lets not forget the Cassel didn't win a SB.

I can't imagine how good it would feel to be guy as young as Pace and already a GM of an NFL team. LOL, although being a GM of a 3-win NFL team is not as much of a feel-good thing I would guess.

It helped but that Def was about to go off the rails. McDonald, and several others were about to be out of the league regardless, and that O wasn't going to surplant the def as top dog.
Agreed, and that's why he moved on from Cutler/Hoyer/Barkley none of those guys were/are franchise qb's. He'll need to find/develop one of those in this draft b/c the heavy chances are Glennon also isn't.

Glennon is paid in 2017 at a rate that is near the bottom of the pay scale for starting QBs not on their rookie contracts. After 1 season, it's essentially a year-by-year option for the next 2. There's little guaranteed money left after year 1 so he can be released if needed with little dead cap hit.

Agreed. That is the main point of concern for me in this off-season. What are Pace's plans for taking a QB in the draft?
Pace isn't going to advertise what he is going to do so we will all have to put up with it for another 6 weeks until the draft.
