Yikes. But then, how much game does a kicker need to know?
1.kick ball. 2.aim Between uprights. 3. If i miss, tackle guy with ball.
LOL...yeah, what exactly does a kicker really need to know about the game? Kick the ball between the uprights on field goals and extra points, kick it in the direction the coach tells you to on kick offs...I don't even care if they tackle anyone or not.
LOL, forget the failed 43-yard "Parkey Test" our rookies failed. Here is our new kicker booting an 81-yard field goal in pads. Holy moley... he's broke the 43-yard barrier, by almost 40 yards.
I just hope he's healthy. It looks like Eddy Pineiro could be one amazing kicker for us. We need to get a nickname for this guy.

Well, if he's money, there's a singer named Eddy Money. Eddy Money Piniero. Let's take the spanish word for money, and call him Dinero Piniero.
I know it's just a 7th rounder, but I wish Pace would stop throwing around picks like their dollar bills in a strip club.
I can't blame him too much for this. Its a conditional 7th rounder in 2021. If the guy can't make the roster, the pick stays with us. If he ends up being the answer, a future 7th is a small price to pay.

You use picks on the potential to make your team better, mostly with young players. We just gave a CONDITIONAL SEVENTH rounder two years from now on a young kicker with a rare leg. Literally, and I rarely use that word, a no-lose situation.

I believe he has to play in 5 or more games this year to get Oakland the 7th round pick.
- Nation's most accurate kicker in 2017 making 17 of 18 for 94.4 percent - Never missed a field goal after a miss in Week 1 - Has made all five of his field goal attempts from 50-plus - Has good leg speed through his target - Offers quality kickoff option drilling 75 percent of his career kickoffs for touchbacks - Overall accuracy is a big plus - Hit 91 percent of his kicks from 40 and in over his two seasons - Seems genuinely unfazed by pressure kicks
If this guy is healthy I can't see any downside to spending a 7th round pick on him. And as others have pointed out, this is a "conditional" pick because we don't have to pay anything for him if he doesn't make the team - and we get to do a "test drive" with him for 5 regular season games before we are committed to that 7th round draft pick.
Is it worth a 7th round draft pick to finally solve our kicker woes that have dogged this team for years now?
After watching kicker after kicker missing 43-yard field goals in the "Parkey Test" at the rookie camp recently, and then watching this guy nail an 81-yard kick, I can't believe anyone would have a problem spending a 7th round pick on the guy. It's a no-brainer.

Yes.
He has to make the roster and stay on it for at least 5 games
