The Chicago Bears have one of the most lethal one two punches in the league at running back.
Tarik Cohen and Jordan Howard came together to put together some pretty good work.
Despite Howard repeatedly confirming that he was happy as long as the team was winning, there was chatter that Howard wanted out and the Bears were trying to move him.
Jason La Confora of CBS Sports reports that Howard is being shopped.
Sources have told him at the combine that the Bears are trying to move the running back.
After back to back 1000 rushing yard seasons, Howard dropped to 935 during his first year in Matt Nagy's offense however matched his touchdown total of 9 from the year before.
nvm, it's LieConforya, Howard is likely a Bear for life
I am not surprised, and it is probably best for the Bears and Howard too, that he gets traded. I doubt that the Bears get much for him. That's not a slam on Howard, but just my gut feeling.

Would have gotten more before last season, which is why I was hoping they would do it then. I wasn't surprised by what happend this year and he lost a ton of value.

I thinking trading Howard is a dumb idea. He is a damn-good running back when used properly in the offense. That is proven. Even in the Nagy scheme, he is still better than what we are going to end up with after the trade.

I don't know. Howard was only a 5th round pick. Cohen was a 4th round pick.

howard is a damn good rb, when in a system that works to his strengths. he is not a back that can fit into any system, and its not Nagys job to change what he wants to do to fit the wrong piece into a different puzzle.
and there is zero way of knowing if they will be better equal or worse until after they are gotten. people said the same about Cutler, and it wasn't the case then either.

I was probably in denial last season too but came around to see that like it or not JoHo simply isn't a fit for Nagy's O. And since Nagy isn't going anywhere soon, that means Howard is. Simple as that.
Howard is a bruiser type that needs 20-25 carries per game to be max effective. We all saw that his 1st two seasons. He's not much of a receiver nor does he have breakaway speed in the open field. Defenses don't have to account for him as a dual threat for those very reasons. Nagy said it plainly at the Combine--his system isn't going to get one bell-cow back that level of touches in the running game.
I dont think the team is worried about WR. probably stay w/what they have, good starting quality and solid depth. I haven't heard a peep about the bears looking at wr.
