No, considering that Trubisky is a work in progress at this point. He is progressing very well this year but he is nowhere near his ceiling at this point. As he gets more experience as a starting QB, he will mature and get better and better. His "experience" to date is 1 year as a starter at a non-football college (at least not a powerhouse football school) and 1 year under John Fox. At this point he is just learning his craft at the NFL level. I think PFF has him down at a reasonable value at this early point in his career.
PFF over and undervalues everything. They are the hot take of advanced metrics; sloppy, emotional and poorly done.
And your comment in the other thread makes a good point that is relevant here too Ric. One evaluation of a QB is his fit within the system/scheme he is playing in. In that regard Trubisky is performing well. He may not have eye-popping metrics, but that isn't the full measure of the guy. And also, who cares at this point where PFF has him rated? It's his 1st season in the Nagy offense. He's doing well and growing and progressing within Nagy's offense. That's all I care about.

Well, knowing the offense and execution are two different things. He needs to fix his problem with overthrowing receivers, and he needs to stop forcing passes into covered receivers, causing interceptions. He seems to get especially off-track on road games -- not good for the playoffs.

I was thinking.. If the Bears are killing the Vikings Trubs should stay in. If the Rams are killing the 49ers Trubs should stay in. Trubs needs to get some reps in and prepare for the playoffs.
