At this point, Pace needs to be on the hot seat for his horrible FA pickups...
I agree with this. I think Fox also needs to do something to turn the team around or he needs to go to and if Pace is hamstringing him, Pace needs to go too.
+1 This is Ryan Pace's team - coaches and players. I am not saying fire Pace. But I am shocked that more fans are not holding him accountable for the product on the field. We have had 3 drafts. We have had 3 free agencies. We are 3 years into the Ryan Pace era. I posted this in the other thread. Is this an acceptable work product for 3 years of a Ryan Pace era?
Solid GMs turn franchises around in 3 years. I am not talking about Super Bowls, or even playoffs. But this? We look like a clown show right now. Make no mistake, the person who crafted this show is Ryan Pace.

The more I think about it, I'm not sure if I want Fangio was the head coach of the Bears. After Fox is fired, I want someone young full of energy. Like Jim Bob Cooter.

I really don't care who they hire, as long as they finally figure it out and bring a winner to Chicago. Ryan Pace is going to have to get it right - whomever he hires - or I want to see Pace's butt go through the door pretty quickly, and the team bring in a better GM. I am fine with giving Pace a 2nd shot at bringing in a good HC. He deserves that. But right now I am not seeing any improvement in this team over the Jerry Angelo/Lovie Smith teams. In fact, I enjoyed watching THOSE teams more than I enjoy watching this clown show right now.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I would have fired Fox on the Monday after that debacle of a game against Seattle in his first year. I would have pulled Pace into a room told him to sit down and not talk, brought in Fox and asked him to explain why the backup QB he wanted and brought in apparently wasn't trusted enough to attempt a forward pass. I would have asked him if he knew that the forward pass is actually encouraged these days in the NFL and if he understood the concept of 10 yards means more plays for the OFF. Then I would have fired him on the spot and had security hand him the contents of his desk in plastic Jewel bags. Adam Gase would have been introduced as the next HC of the Chicago Bears that afternoon.

A man can dream can't he?
Gase loses his starting QB before the 1st game of the season. But I bet he does well this year, even with Jay Cutler as his QB. No excuses or whining - just winning. Us? We will continue to stink it up and make the usual excuses.
