The Super Bowl should not come down to who wins the coin toss.
The coin toss keeps the game honest - it's why you need a very good defense. You lose the toss, you NEED to stop them.
ATL DOES have a good defense. But they never showed up for the second half and past. I am not sure if they got tired or if any corrections NE made neutralized it to a great degree, but they just did not show up after half time.

NE crushed ATL in time of possession. Quinn even mentioned his guys getting gassed.
Run the friggen ball! Thats what should have been learned...as if the last time the Pats won a super bowl wasn't lesson enough for the rest of the league!
My guess he called Fox and Loggains why else would any coach willingly abandon the running game in the second half when it was working so well in the first half

Because the have the young offensive genius Shanny calling the plays? I mean thats what we need...right? And someone needs to decide...which is Fox...a conservative coach, or not. Because if he's conservative the teams not running the ball seems to go against that.

Don't you know how this works?
If the team loses and they pass the ball more the coach is reckless because he didn't grind out the clock. If the team loses and they ran the ball more the coach is too conservative and took his foot off the gas.

I just don't like how it gives one team a bigger advantage. Atlanta just got done having their defense on the field and they were gassed. They had to start overtime going right back out there and didn't stand a chance. I think both teams should have a shot at scoring.

That is the other edge of the blade. When you score as quick as they were scoring, that means your D is out there a lot

So, do you think the NFL should have overtime the same way college football has it?
