Again, Magazu was outworked by his assistants, and Drayton got a promotion...I'm failing to see what doesn't feel right.
Well, if you take out the ones that got fired (Magazu) then you have the population that we are talking about. After that you look at the number of guys leaving a team that is supposedly energized and on the upswing and it makes you wonder. A promotion, yeah I get it. If that would have been the only one then we probably would not be talking about it. But I see you have left out the others that cause me not to feel right about it. Maybe you feel good about it, but I think there is more to it.
Maybe aliens.
The others would be Hurrt and Johnson. We've already covered Johnson. I've got nothing on Hurtt...but he was on the defensive side of the ball working for one of the best DC's in the league, and he left for Seattle, which is a better team.

Can they help me decide whether I want to leave to get lunch or not? I'm having a real dilemma here! LOL
Only time will tell what the truth is here. I read the stuff about Magazu. Maybe that is true. Maybe it isn't. I do know the unit performed well and he was the coach. It's pretty easy (and common) to discredit a guy after he is gone from ANY organization. Not just football. Sometimes it is total crap too. We will never know for certain what went on, but we DO know the unit performed well and he was their coach.
Let me ask you a question....has Magazu been hired anywhere?

so you feel right about it. No one is telling you to change your mind. Somehow I sense though that no matter how many more might leave that there would be a reason behind each that had nothing to do with any organizational issues.

Of course they can. Aliens can help with anything.
This is where they say you should go for lunch. But watch what you order. Some of their best cooks have left recently. Not that any of them didn't really want to stay of course. Just other places seemed better to them. Not that they really were though.
That's what organizations do when they lose good people. You can spin things any way you want. I'm not talking about football organizations, but just my personal experience that, admittedly, may not apply here at all. Some would go to better jobs, but they were looking to get out. Some just wanted out. They didn't have jobs to immediately go to.
There isn't enough here to say is a trend. And it could be just unrelated personnel changes. But I am like you, BIH, I'm beginning to wonder a tiny bit about what's going on. Could be nothing though.

I don't love Hurtt leaving, but as for the others....again...promotion, going back home, fired. Should Drayton have turned down a promotion and an advancement in his career because he liked it here? Should Johnson have not gone back to the place he was born, grew up and coached at and won a super bowl at because he enjoyed his 1 year here?

It's ok...I hear the head chef routinely puts together very good groups of chefs around him...not really worried about it.

Yeah, I really think there is something going on, but it absolutely could be nothing.
