I really really liked Youngstown State edge rusher Derek Rivers. East Carolina receiver Zay Jones had an impressive day too. That guy is going to have a good NFL career. I thought Peterman looked a bit disappointing. For whatever reason, Fox had him get the bulk of the snaps (by far) in the game (Beatherd only got 2 pass attempts for the entire game), giving him every opportunity to shine. He fumbled the ball away and threw an int - and missed a wide open receiver in the end zone (threw a wild ball 4 yards over his head). He wasn't bad, but he sure didn't look as impressive as the other side's QB, Davis Webb who in three drives of play, led the team to scores on all three for the win.
The TE, O.J. Howard looks like he'd be a great player to have in a Bears uniform.
Davis Webb ended up MVP (Dak Prescott was last year's MVP).
Dak Prescott was also the only Senior Bowl player selected by the Cowboys in last year's draft. Drawing connections between Senior Bowl MVP's and NFL success will give you a jagged looking line. Here are the MVPs from this century:
2000 Chad Pennington 2001 LaDainian Tomlinson 2002 Antwaan Randle El 2003 Larry Johnson 2004 Philip Rivers 2005 Charlie Frye
2006 Sinorice Moss 2007 Tony Hunt 2008 Matt Forte 2009 Pat White 2010 Brandon Graham 2011 Christian Ponder 2012 Isaiah Pead 2013 EJ Manuel 2014 Dee Ford
2015 Ameer Abdullah 2016 Dak Prescott
Depending on how you rate Pennington, the success rate of Senior Bowl MVPs in the NFL is slightly above or below 50%. I didn't include Abdullah or Prescott because there just isn't enough info on either one yet.
Still, the noteworthy name on this list is Matt Forte who was - as far as I can tell - the only Senior Bowl MVP of the past decade who ended up with the Chicago Bears.
I'm fascinated to see how the draft plays out for the Bears. I'll be intrigued to see if there are any players from the North Team who end up on the Bears and if they do I'll be intrigued to follow the arc of their career in the NFL.
I actually liked that Fox could be aggressive and go for the win and the 2pt conversion. In a meaningless game. With absolutely nothing on the line and no implications. Way to dig deep and really go for it FOXXXXYYY
Aren't all game Fox coaches meaningless games, at least what I have seen over the past 2 years they are.

I just found it interesting that he was last year's winner. I'm not saying Webb will be Prescott. I'm not sure Prescott would have been like this past season's Prescott if he had landed on the Bears.
It wasn't his fault. He had nothing to do with it. He had no talent on that team.
So did I miss a Bears game yesterday or was Fox coaching another team without talent
The thought is that any team he coaches and loses with has no talent.
He coached the north team in the senior bowl and lost to the south team that was being coached by the Browns coaching staff. But we're pretty sure he was not outcoached -- it had to be talent.

I heard a few interviews of Hugh Jackson, the Browns head coach of the South team. I like that guy. He had a horrific first season with the Browns, but I hope he can turn things around for them. I do wish him luck.
