It was far more than the coaches not seeing this. No one saw this after the draft or even after Shea's first couple years. Emery got raked across the coals for this guy. He was seen as weak and got easily pushed around.
I was pulling for the guy but aside from some flashes he just didn't perform very well here. I haven't watched a enough Pat's games to know how they are using him but I'm curious what suddenly changed.
