I love Howard, and if the bears could play with the lead he will create a huge problem for opposing DCs. Play action, TEs attacking areas vacated by safteys trying to support v run.
If the OL gets better with experience as I expect it will, Loggains hopefully makes an off-season study of game playing, play calling and game theory.
Maybe off Topic, but Langford really doesn't have the vision that Howard does it seems. Same OL, but whenever Howard gets the ball moving off tackle he seems to plant that foot and get yards more often than not. Langford seems to bog down and never take that decisive cut. Interesting.

Langford is above average. That's about all I can say for him
No, not Howard. It was a guy who said he knew a guy who had inside info on K State and he said Whitehair would be hot garbage...I can't remember who it was.
Yeah, I remember the guy. That was 'Daabears', one of HHM's CCS friends. He wasn't a jerk the like the rest of them, though. But yeah, he really didn't #nailedit this time.
In all fairness, I also didn't like the pick back then, thought we should have gone DL instead. Glad it turned out well.
Who was it on the old board who said that kid was gonna be an absolute bust?
Not sure on that one. I liked this pick a lot. The one I didn't like was Whitehair. Glad I was wrong on that one.
Me too. Loved the Howard pick and wanted him in the 4th. Glad he fell. I was wrong about Whitehair too but that was also before we unexpectedly let Slau walk. I loved the Bullard pick too but he's been a disappointment so far.
Bullard might well be a perfect example of a guy that needs 1-2 years to develop. Pace stated he wasn't from a def that worked the same as the Bears while he was in college. That he needed to work on his foot and hand tech but has the natural tools to succeed.

yes, Slauson was also a big part of why I didn't think we needed Whitehair
