Brad Biggs first reported this. Chronic shoulder pain was the problem. The stem cell treatments are not available in the USA so Bates traveled to Panama in September (after that first game) to get the treatment. Briefly played last Sunday and got a concussion.
This is not behind a paywall. So everyone can read it.

I know I'm double posting, but I don't care. Last line in the article is "Bates's shoulder issues are in the rear view mirror,".
What? Does this writer not remember Tommie Harris? Bates is going to struggle with this shoulder thing forever. I have my doubts he makes it two more years.

But Harris never did the pixie dust stem cell Panama thing. This will heal him forever and add 23" to his arm length. Everything is good. The players are taking up a collection and are planning to fly Flus down to Panama and get a stem cell injection into his brain. They are hoping for better and faster game time decisions. (and of course longer arms)

I have often wondered if Eberflus's issues come from his lack of long arms.

but, but he's been topped off with the Panamanian stem cells. But yeah, in hindsight, he should have just pigged out on Garza donuts instead (they're #1 in nutrition you know).

I will say stem cells are a game changer and BS that they're not available in the US...but thats a whole other story I won't get into on this board.

Then why go to Panama? Not being snarky, just wondering.
