Yeah. Its all on the stupid rookie for not calling a TO on his own, calling everyone into a huddle, calling his own plays and then ignoring everything coming in from the sideline. Because he's done all that before at this level right? Right? SMH.

So unless I misread the article, the reason thing fell apart was the time it took to get lined up. The question is why it took so long. I am guessing it had to do with chaos and disorganization behind the scenes, but I have no idea who or what was the root cause. I am sure the players are getting sick of coming back to be able to win a game and then this keeps happening. They were a play away from beating Detroit at him. Let that sink in. I never would have guessed that

I'm thinking 9 is too low for the top LT in the draft. Probably too low for top DE also. Now whether or not the top rated DE and LT actually turn out to be the top DE and LT is another story.

+1,000 regarding that part highlighted in red.

Think of how many times the Bears have drafted a guy high and another, later drafted player turns out better (Trubisky instead of Mahomes is just one example).

That is a good point. The draft (and life on planet earth) does not end after the top 5 or 6 picks of the draft are gone. The Hall of Fame, and the All-Pro teams are not stocked with top 5 or 6 drafted players. Many are non-1st round picks, mid round picks - or even undrafted guys at times. Poles' job is to find what we need with the resources we have available. I think he will do that.
