It's another loss that should be cementing Flus future here. Some questionable calls went against us but in the end an L is an L. The O showed some signs of life & Williams played much better. He is going to have to grow through a very rough buzzsaw coming up. I only see 1 maybe 2 possible wins. That means 5-12 or 6-11 which should be enough for a top 10 pick, or a shot at one of the top tackles.
That was a win but for the decision not to run it a few more times. Not a guaranteed win as they may have taken a sack or no gain or it may have been missed or blocked even if it was closer, but we probably win that if we don't make those calls. Not sure if that call was HC or OC, but had Flus's fingerfronts all over it. Find a way to lose via bad calls and clock management. It's kind of become his MO

HCs drive me nuts "We don't want to go backwards or fumble the ball." Or...you know....break one for 30 yards and score a TD or pick up 13 or 7 or 22...nah...lets focus on the two worst possible cases.

How about just get 5 and make the kick shorter and at higher trajectory?

SSSOOOOOOO..... moving on....
On the positive side, it looks like whatever way Waldron was hamstringing this team, that seems to be gone. We actually scored in the first quarter. And we scored touchdowns.... Not just field goals.
I truly expected a blowout and we had won that game if not for some stupid decisions on our part. We did not get blown out. We made it competitive and actually looked like an NFL offense. Now, I'm not saying we looked on a top offense, but hell, the OC has been the OC less than a week. I just did not expect we could make it a game in this much time. Much less actually been in a "should have won if not for stupid" scenario.
I'm happy with what I saw. Now we go back to our regular programming. Looking for CW to progress. He was not progressing and he was looking bad. There are still some issues with his targets and him being on the same page, but it did not look like it was the first time they had met. Normally, I put most of the blame on CW and his misses. I don't know the play or where they were supposed to be, but to my eyes, most of the time it looked like CW just plain missing his targets. And it happened maybe 6 times a game or so. My memory isn't the best, but in this game, I think I only remember two ond one was not terribly bad. Only one bad one and others that were missed but the WR had a chance to get. So definite improvement from my point of view
Well, honestly, why wouldn't they expect that? Anyone that has watched more than their first game of football expected them to run it again. Brady said he didn't get why not.
