The guy made a complete ass out of himself and the national sports media is playing this thing now. It's breaking the Internet right now.
LINK Tyrique Stevenson goes from taunting Commanders fans to tipping Hail Mary pass By Mike Florio NBC Sports Published October 27, 2024 09:19 PM
Before the game-winning Hail Mary that propelled the Commanders over the Bears, Chicago defensive back Tyrique Stevenson was taunting Commanders fans. And Stevenson kept doing it after the play started. To the point where he didn’t even realize the play had started. Eventually, Stevenson got in position to make a play on the ball. And he was the one who tipped it to receiver Noah Brown, who made the most nonchalant catch of a game-winning Hail Mary in the history of Hail Marys. The outcome has huge ramifications in the standings. It moves the Commanders to 6-2. And it drops the Bears to 4-3. Even though Chicago still has a winning record, they’re now in last place in the NFC North.
Nothings going to happen. Team will close ranks, Stevenson won't talk to the media, players will continue to say "I don't know what happened."
And Flus will say "We just need to execute better."
No accountability.
I just figured Tyrique was showcasing a new variation of the vaunted Eberflus H.I.T.S. system. Quitting the game early to taunt the fans - and losing - must be some new twist.

Its not like I would expect any players to point fingers or for Flus to say "Yep, Stevenson messed up there." Neither the locker room or the HC can do that.
But it is disheartening as a fan. It just continues the "Bears are a joke" that I'm tired of hearing.

This is just an extension of coaching. That should never have happened. And the high number of presnap penalties. They are not as disciplined as they should be. Very disappointing finish. They had actually won the game.
Stevenson should be benched for the next game, at the very least.
agreed he deserves to be VJJ'd/Davis'd. benched until the starters return, then deactivated.
At least. He needs to miss at least one game, leave him at home for the ARI game. But I have a feeling Flus will call him into the office, hand him a cold coke, rub his shoulder and tell him "Learn from this." Then they will talk about where to get the best hamburger around Halas Hall.
