Two things stood out to me watching those reps. First of all, I like how Caleb has adjusted quickly to working under center. He didn't do work under center in college. Pretty cool to see that he has already made the transition there. Love that. Secondly, the blocking looks better than early in the season (not just the OL but the entire blocking execution by everyone). Sure, this wasn't a good team they were playing. But the blocking has improved. Not saying it is magically okay now with the OL, but the overall blocking of the team is enough that Caleb should be able to run the offense and not be pressured like he was early in the season.
The quality of blocking is inversely proportional to the quality of the opposing team. The worse they are, the better our blocking. Not to say we have not improved, but it's hard to say how much when the opposing team makes it easier for us. As we ramp back up in the difficulty of opposing teams, we can better gauge. However, this is for sure helping with timing, anticipation, learning what the WRs do best, what Caleb does best, etc. Super valuable reps right now

I agree with all of that, especially regarding how it is difficult to say how much real improvement there is, considering the opponent. But the team looks like it has it together better with execution on plays. I do like how Waldron has a lot of people involved in the blocking schemes - not just the OL. Some of the best teams do this... kudos that our players are willing to put real effort into blocking. Shelton is looking better now in particular. I'm not saying the offensive line has magically become good... obviously they haven't. But it's okay to recognize improvement - some of that has to be credited to Waldron I think.
As Williams plays better, the DL and LBs have to respect the passing game more, this flows into making the OL look better. I'm not saying Williams magicially makes the OL into a top five unit. But they can play like the 16th-20th best OL because Williams is a good QB. Just my opinion. I think what you are seeing now is Williams QBing ability translating into DEFs having to respect the pass, blitz less, etc.

I agree. There are a lot of moving parts and they are all trending up
