riczaj01 found this link and posted it in the Shoutbox. But in case you missed it, here it is. It is an objective breakdown of the offense - the good stuff and also what is bad. As far as the good, it sounds like Caleb is showing he can be really good. The bad is that it sounds like Shane Waldron isn't very good and his offense is just doesn't have the gears to get the Bears offense where it needs to go. On top of that the offensive line is just not good.
J.T. finally says, "It's just a disaster in the pass-pro unit." He then says it's amazing that Caleb trusts these guys as much as he does.
One personal observation. Matt Pryor went from backup RT, to starting RG... and mid-game he gets flipped to being the LG. He had two big whiffs where he really blew it. But other than that I thought he had a surprisingly decent game.
@jabf that line caught me off guard, and in a, I didn't know how to properly express it, and that is simple and perfect. Fields would just start running and Mitch would start forcing. If Williams doesn't break b/c of the disaster in front of him, it will be massively encouraging for his future.
Maybe the WR's aren't so discouraged by Williams, as they are by knowing the OL isn't going to give them a chance most plays.

+1 I think that's very likely the case here. Caleb Williams has heard all the noise about not being a "running quarterback" and to be a real quarterback who can pocket-pass effectively. I think he has taken that to heart. Consequently, he is trying to "be" that quarterback but with poor pass protection. Yet, in spite of it all, Caleb is progressing. Sure, he makes rookie mistakes on some of those plays. And on some plays it looks like the receivers and CW are not on the same page. But J.T. points out that some (okay, a number) of those plays are bad by design. And he points out why they are poorly designed plays.
