Bears beat Rams - who gets the game ball?

I went with punter. Nice game.

Boy, it's funny. I am really thinking along the same lines. No one stood out to me. No one really "excelled", yet they all made their own small contributions that pulled through for a victory. I watched the game late and can't say it was a well oiled machine with the penalties and stuff, but it finally looked like an NFL team. Still a ways to go to be anywhere near a top team , but we for sure did not embarrass ourselves.

I can't really point to anything I REALLY did not like. I mean Williams did his few overthrows. But other than taking a stupid sack, was pretty efficient. He AGAIN (IMO) looks like he progressed some. He had looked to me to get a little better every game. That is exactly what you want. Him and Moore always seemed to out of sync. He finally got a TD to Moore. It was good to see.


Swift... I dunno. It was not improvement. It was like an on and off switch. He was just doing nothing and then all of a sudden he was productive. It was not electric like I sometimes (not often) see, but hell... I'll take what he did week in and week out. He contributed to a win. I don't know that we win without his production. 

Same with the OL. Not dominant, but they got the job done. They were actually opening up some holes for the running game and were giving CW much more time than they usually do.

The D.... well, they did what the Bears D always do. turnovers, holding for the most part, etc. Those guys are a good unit.

Tory Taylor was a weapon today. surprisingly, the Rams kicker was keeping up with him on some of those kicks. 

The coaching actually seemed decent today. I mean I didn't see any Bill Belichick stuff but nothing stupid either.

The team seems just more "in sync" and it was good to see

The theme for me was nothing jumped out as being special except for the fact that the whole team won this game as a team. That is kind of special in itself. no one savior, just a bunch of players working their tails off to win a game and they did. It was a game that I held my head watching at the beginning and then enjoyed watching by the end as the team came together. 

There is still a LOT of growth left on this team. For the first time, I got the feeling that a lot of the miscommunication in previous games might have been more CW than I previously thought. I saw him more comfortable and it seemed like he was more "aware" of what to do and what the defense was doing. I think that level of knowledge and comfort will grow. And grow fast. You can literally see him get better game to game. I know he can do more. The passing game is still not going to win any trophies the way it is (well, maybe a participation trophy), but he is throwing TD, does not seem lost, is taking really good control of the field. I am liking him more and more every week. I just can't wait until he really gets it and we can see a top NFL passing game. We have the people.

At this point, I am looking game to game to see what Swift, the OL, the coaches and Williams do. They are they keys to our success or failure. The only one I am fairly confident in getting better is CW. The rest.... I'd like to see more than one game from. But boy it was nice to see them win and not look like a hack team doing it!!!
