We're 9-12 against Matty. Time to win one and get to 10-12 against him.
We SHOULD beat them, but I said the same thing last week. This week, I'm not so sure anymore. I am losing faith in Flus. Rapidly. His game management blows.
But I'm a Bears fan, addicted to the Navy Blue Kool-Aid (especially with a little vodka added) and I have NEVER (on principle) watched the movie Bad News Bears, Sooooo,
I know. It sure would be nice to get one anyway though. I think we'd all feel a lot better. I know I would.
Honestly, I started out the year wanting wins to get into playoffs. I have kind of reset. I am now more interested in the quality of play. To see a cohesive game plan. Good execution on the offense. If I can see that, I am good. That will lead to wins. A crappy win where you see the team looking like a JV offense is not going to help the team. It will just get eaten up down the road and get a worse draft position to boot. I want to see the team play well. Then I want to see wins. In that order. I know many will not agree and say you always want wins. I get that and am not going to argue that I don't want the team to win. but I more want whatever these problems are, to go away and the team look like it belongs in the NFL and has a fighting chance in this division

Now that I have calmed down a bit since last Sunday, that is pretty much my mindset also. I would add that personally, I am focusing on:
1. Watching to see if Caleb makes improvements over the course of this season. Real & significant growth. 2. Watching to see if the coaching staff, especially Eberflus, can make adjustments throughout the season to improve the team.
The offense has stumbled out the gate this season with Waldron installing a new offense with new players, playbook and schemes. Let's watch and see if he can pull this unit together and be a decent offense with adjustments. I'm not saying it will do that, but at the same time I believe it very well may (yes, even the offensive line could improve). I'm trying really hard to not go full-meatball. LOL, after a few days of living on meatball island I'm trying to reel in my emotions now
