I have total faith that Fox will finally figure out game management and make a series of brilliant moves to steal a win at the end of the game. We're going to see good use of challenges, proper time-out management, in game adjustments...everything we've asked for.
Then I don't know what would be worse. The poster(s) whining about losing draft position or the posters trumpeting about heading into next year with 'momentum.'
Some of these guys are playing for their NFL careers or their next job. A guy like Bellamy has to have a good game to generate looks next year. So do some of the CBS and safeties who won't be on the team next year. There will be 4-5 FAs and 7-8 draft picks who take roster slots from guys currently on the roster. Those 10-13 guys who are going to be replaced are not going to roll over so that the team can get a higher draft pick.
Just get a roster and go down it listing the guys who won't be around next year. Those guys will be trying for one last game to impress someone, anyone around the league.
Look at Bellamy. IMO ST-gunners are not a rare breed. To make matters worse for him he's basically a ST-gunner who has struggled in the OFF with his hands. With teams always trying to maximize roster space, your ST-gunners (unless they are HOF level ST-gunner) have to be able to contribute in another phase when called upon. Any team looking for ST help wants to know that he can contribute if called upon as a wide receiver. So Bellamy is going to want to have a big game. No way he's rolling over for draft picks.
