Wait... I thought PFF had him graded as one of the best T's in the NFL when he was with us. Oh... I forgot it was PFF "grading" him. It made my blood boil when Webb would crap the bed on gameday and the "experts" at PFF would grade it as a good game for him. It had no connection to reality.
One other point before I end my rant Often the Bears OL players (the individual players) are not horrific bad. Instead it is often 5 mediocre guys cobbled together and the end result is a unit that blows chunks. We have watched this on countless gamedays spanning decades. One OL guy starts it out with a dumb penalty or a whiff'ed block that kills a drive - and the game is "on" with each of the 5 OL guys taking turns hurting the team. Shared suckage.
But if I would vote for one guy here it would have to be Nate Davis. There's probably a HUGE recency bias in that one but he sure has hurt the Bears team. If I were to toss in a guy from the past it would have to be LT Orlando Pace (when he was a Bear, not when he was a future Hall of Fame guy in his prime years).
I gave some thought to Fred "The Drive Killer" Miller, Chilo Rachal, and Kevin Shaffer.
Hey, don't forget Fred's greatest block as an offensive lineman, when he blocked Olin Kreutz' fist with his jaw. He missed game time after having to have surgery to repair it. LOL, it ended up with an FBI investigation because it happened at the FBI shooting range (LINK). Those were the days, right?

It was Fred's fault. He hit Olin with a 10 pound plate if I remember correctly.
There was also the All-Alliteration Squad of Vince Vance and Lance Louis. The Bears just needed Victor Vector, Clarence Clearance, and Roger Roger for a truly remarkable team.
