been wondering if Jenkins has been playing hurt, b/c how he's been playing is not like what we've seen in the past.
After the Sunday night game I was wondering the exact same thing, Ric. He is getting out-muscled at times and you never did see that in past years. The guy has always been an explosive powerful dude. It is weird to see guys tossing him around this year.

Whether hurt again or not playing well or both, Tevin Jenkins is costing himself millions of dollars right now.
No way he gets a 2nd contract from Chicago like he's playing now. He will become a FA and probably get a relatively cheap, prove-it type of deal only (somewhere else) if he doesn't turn things around here the next 15 games. Right now he's making a strong case to NOT pay him and let him walk.

Availability is important. Sad to say he's too often injured. We definitely should let him go when his contract is up. With our luck though, he'll sign cheap with the peckers, never get injured again, and be a Bear killer.

And if that happens the team has yet 1 more starting quality OL on the needs list. Nate Davis needs replaced and Shelton/Bates at C do too. Three starters. And that's assuming Braxton Jones is okay at LT.

I know. You can bet he knows it too. He inquired about a contract in August and they told him they need to see until at least midseason before thinking about it. He knows its make or break time.
