The Colts just lost star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to an ankle injury. Their interior rush outside of him has not been good. If Nate Davis can’t hold his own in those more favorable conditions, it will be confirmation that he is a complete lost cause.
Well, I guess that game was confirmation. He's a complete lost cause. Too bad we can't terminate this loaf's contract since he's not living up to expectations. Poles better be on the phone looking for somebody, anybody, to bring in ASAP.

I have to say that I honestly thought the stuff going on last year was because of his mother. I thought we would see a different Davis this year. And I guess we are, but it's an even worse player than last year. I was wrong to put any hope in him. Sad.

All this stuff has been common knowledge for a while now. Its clear that Poles brought in Bates as a Davis backup plan and that went out the window when he got hurt.
Nate Davis doesn't want to be an NFL football player period. It's as simple as that. Maybe he got paid and stopped caring. Maybe his life priorities changed after his mom passed. But it is obvious his heart isn't in it anymore and he's just milking his guaranteed money while he can.
CUT HIM AND MOVE ON.
Oh, and one more thing--Poles needs to reevaluate his pro scouting dept or at least the person(s) who vouched for ND (and Claypool). Cuz there were rumors Vrabel hated him in Tennessee and he never had a very strong work ethic even back then.
That's two giant eff-ups where you literally got nothing for a major investment in a pro player. Two massive misses.
