After the game, Bears head coach Matt Eberflus refused to single Chicago’s offensive line out for lack of protection.
“I believe protection is everybody. Protection is the tight ends, runners, offensive line, it’s the quarterback; it’s everybody involved. So we got to do a really good job with that,” Eberflus said after the loss to the Texans.
YEP! And everybody includes the coaches and the scheming.

There's few things I despise more than bullshit, ass-covering, "coach-speak" after an obviously bad performance. That's all Flus ever delivers.
I get that you don't want to say certain things in public but there are ways good HCs call out players and units and hold them accountable without being a dick about it.
These are grown men being well-paid in a public profession. Just SAY THE TRUTH. It's not that hard.
“Caleb Williams has been taking a beating tonight. Keeps popping back up though. #Respect,” Watt wrote on X."
and a few other quotes:
“Man, Caleb Williams is really one tough dude,” NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein wrote on X. “He got hit as hard as any QB I’ve seen in quite awhile and kept standing in.”
“Thank goodness Caleb Williams is tough, smart, and elusive. He is going to be sore for days. Lucky he could walk off,” one fan posted.
“Gotta admire him for getting back up after some of those hits,” another fan wrote about Williams."

HC MPBears after the game vs Houston:
"I thought we improved offensively since week 1 but we still have a lotta work left to do. As a coaching staff we have to do a better job with personnel packages, play calling, and challenges. But ultimately it starts with fundamentals. We have to get way better blocking with the OL and Tight Ends--both better run blocking and better pass protection. What we have seen so far this season has not been nearly good enough and we are gonna have to consider some lineup changes if we don't see better results very soon."
END
Now tell me, why the hell is that so hard to say, Coach Flus?
