I was so concerned about the DL this year, but they looked solid. Do you think they're that good, or the Titans OL is that bad?
I have no idea for sure (but I have an opinion - and yes, its worthless). I don't think TN is that bad, but they are great either. So we weren't playing the girl scouts. They are decent. I think we are pretty good. But not great either. We have a LOT of good, but run D could be better. They guys have been together for a while, but still, this is the first game of the year. I honestly think the D will get better. And when they do, they will be great.
I am worried about the O. Honestly, I was hoping for a win and thought we could but I would have been ok with a loss and seen Caleb shine a little. Not necessarily sunlight bright, but maybe a really good flashlight bright. I think as ready as he is for the big stage, he was a little too excited. If I'm right, he hid it well. He overthrew some easy passes, tried to play hero ball and took a big sack, etc. But nothing that tells me "this kid sucks". I still think he will be damned good. He needs to settle down. The TN D purposefully tried to confuse the looks and they did a good job.
But we are not going to beat Houston with D and ST alone. Unless they self destruct, it just won't happen. Caleb needs to be in this game next Sunday

Don't know yet but Bears DL looked pretty good week 1.
Billings is a beast NT. Great pickup by Poles.
Dexter, Taylor, and Walker all had really good games. Taylor also looks like a really good find. If that continues, we have a damn good DL.
Ironically, Poles, the former OL guy, seems to had much better success shoring up the DL than he has the OL.
Yeah, honestly I did not expect to be impressed by him. Now, it's only one game and just like I am not going to say that Williams sucks, I am not going to say Taylor is great. Yet. But he did impress me

While I was happy with the DL performance for the most part, like the OL, it was one game. Also the Titans had what was essential a revamped OL from what I've read. Their previous year's OL was at the bottom of the league last year. So this may not have been the best test of the DL.
I don't know what to expect from the Texans' OL but I believe they were better than the Titans last year. So we may get a better sense of where they actually are next game.

Yeah the mostly likely outcome over the next 16 games is that our DL isn't as good as it looked week 1 and our OL isn't as bad.
