9-8? We're going 17-0 baby! So I bet the entire house on the over at Draftkings! You're going to need an oops at the end of that prediction!
Seriously though, without seeing live in-season action, I'm guessing 10 or 11 wins +/- 1 or 2. So your 9-8 is in my range. But I work off gut feelings. And at 66 with my love for pasta, pizza, and chocolate ice cream, my gut is rather large! Your method seems to be more realistic than mine though.
Theory is Bears will lose to the better QBs, split with the equal QBs, and beat the worser QBs.
9-8 is a reasonable prediction. If the defense is really solid, and the Bears O is as good as we hope, then maybe we could steal one of those Green Bay games for a 10-7 season. And QB's to get injured a lot now. If one or two of those opposing QBs are out when we play them, that could be a game changer.

Sept 2022 based on opponent QBs I predicted 8+ wins----> Finished with 3 wins. Opps link
Sept 2023 based on opponent QBs I predicted 8-9 record -----> Finished 7-10. Not bad. link
--------------------------
2024-25 Season QBs Bears will face. Better/Equal/Worse than Williams (IMO)
BETTER EQUAL WORSE Stafford Stroud Levis Love (x2)* Richardson Young Purdy Lawrence Murray Daniels Maye/Brisset** Goff (x2) Darnold (x2) Smith
Theory is Bears will lose to the better QBs, split with the equal QBs, and beat the worser QBs.
So I Predict: 9-8

* Pains me I have to put Love in this column. ** Doesn't matter who starts here, Williams is better
Curious about your thought process with your Purdy and Maye/Brissett rankings. I think a decent argument could be made for Purdy to be where you have him as he’s obviously been a huge surprise but I think he’s propped up quite a bit by the team around him and would personally rate him as “equal” to CW. . Maye is as unproven as Williams and Brissett hasn’t really done anything special. I think I’d easily rank them as “equal” right now. Either way, I find this method of predicting wins intriguing!

Purdy is ranked "better" because in that specific case I'm thinking Purdy+ Shanny+McCathy+Samuel+Aijuk+Kittle+experience. I find it hard to separate Purdy from the team around him. Maybe I'm selling Purdy short (I think its move than 80% chance I am) but he's the best gunslinging game manager I've ever seen.
Maye/Brissett fall in the same way of thinking. Brissett most likely is equal. But the NE OL is going to be bad, and they have one of the worst collections of WR/TE/RBs on the league as a group. I think Maye might start on the bench but after they start 0-3, Maye is going to start. Either that or Brissett is going to be injured.

I don't know if I was just seeing things or maybe you edited your post while I was replying yesterday but I could have swore I saw Maye/Brissett in the "Better" column originally. lol Now, being in the "Worse" column, I'm in agreement. lol
