The Patriots went old school bringing in a vet, who got the #1 reps. The Bears did it different this time around and are all-in with the rookie from day-1.

We had a lot of cards fall our way to be in the position we’re in. Poles really maneuvered his way through the mess Pace left us with, to get us where we are today. Definitely some luck in play but also a lot of skills were on display.

It sure helped to be a decent team with a #1 pick instead of the typical bottom of the barrel team picking at #1. From our long experience with bad GMs (or no GMs!), I hesitate to praise Poles, but he sure has done a heck of a job so far!

Crap. You just jinxed him. Now he's going to trade Williams for a 6th round pick next year. You can't get enough of those. Highly coveted. I only wish we had more QBs to be able to get more of them. Can't believe we just let Rypien go without trying to nab another 6th for next year.

Oh, man. So there is a writer on the Bleacher Report that thinks the Bears need a SB winning veteran QB on the roster to help Caleb Williams reach his potential. Because Bagent is just some undrafted nobody.
That quarterback? Joe Flacco. And, get this, that the Bears should trade a 6th round draft pick to the Colts for his services.
Same writer thinks the Pats should trade a 6th rounder for Larry Borom.
It's really fun to see the crazy ideas these guys are throwing around for clicks.
