In what world is he doing a better job than Cutler? 9 ints in 2 games? 1 win? How is that better? Its the same at best. Everyone hates Cutler, we all do, but how exactly is Barkley doing better? Because he's been sacked less? How many wins did that get them? What is that suddenly an important stat? Its meaningless. There is only one important stat: Wins and everyone has the same record 1-4. I hope Cutler is done here, but for crying out loud are we so blinded by our hatred that Barkley suddenly is being praised because he's getting sacked less? Really? 1 and 4 with 9 ints in the last two games. Everyone needs to repeat this until it sinks in. 1-4 with 9 ints in the last 2 games. Draft a QB on day 1 or 2 and send Barkley back to the bench. 1 and 4 with 9 ints in the last two games. Hell, Hoyer was sacked lass and threw no ints, but no one is kissing up to him anymore. Why? Because Barkley has gone 1 and 4 with 9 ints in his last two games? 12 in total? 2-3 TD-Int ratio?
I already sound like Soul.
Younger, cheaper, and actually has more upside b/c of less in game experience. Not to mention the OL and WR's aren't the same, nor are they better. Cutler had Long and Sitton as well as Jeffery, White and Royal and Miller to throw to.
but in the end, the fact that as teams have gotten tape on him he's gotten far worse, FAR WORSE, there is a lot to make you hold back on the idea of him being anything more then a backup. He's got one more game though lets see.

I can see it differently. Been in the league 4 years and has never impressed enough to get meaningful snaps. Now that he has starts, he's 1 and 4 with 9 INTs in two games, with 12 total over 5 starts. Maybe there is a reason he hasn't gotten snaps, like he's not very good? But since he's not Cutler...we'll start him!!!
Sorry, I don't see it or understand the Barkley love. He's a journeyman QB, a four year vet, and according to people around here a past potential first round draft pick, whatever the hell that means. I'd rather start Brian "The Hope Destroyer" Hoyer.
With all due respect to Barkley's fine impression of Jay Cutler, my deflated ball goes to Loggains.
WTF Frodo?!?
I spent over half of the season defending you, but I am weary of these gameplans that treat Jordan Howard like an afterthought and leaving an unaccomplished third string quarterback out to dry.
I disown all the positivty I threw your way and hope the Bears replace you with an OC that is not afraid to let Howard have twenty carries a game.

Valid but cutler is 10 yrs with how many starts and still has games like that? And with better weapons and ol.
While barkley is not likely the answer there is no question cutler and hoyer are not either.
I'm looking for the best HC pick this time. Anyone know if Nick Saban is gonna declare? He's worth a top pick.
U trolling now soul? I feel like most posts you make reference your disdain for Fox. I think we get it...
LOL, well Soul is just making sure we don't forget. Nothing wrong with that. Truth be told, when I think of the draft, I also kind of wish we could draft a coach. He just put it in words.

Merry X-Mas, Bear Nation!
Mike McCoy might be available. Unfort. he's always lusting over the passing game.
Not sure my two sentence question demanded a multi para response. Way to be thorough.. I have no prob with your opinion just the repetition of this Fire Fix fixation that infiltrates most threads.

I had two thoughts after the Bolts gave the Browns their first win in forever.
1. Mike McCoy should be available.
2. Do I really want the man whose offense could not do anything against the freaking Browns?
