Ah this is that UDFA who is an athletic freak from Texas Tech. 6' 304 lbs runs the 40 in 4.75.
I wonder who he will cut to make room for this guy on the roster. Poles loves bringing in lost dogs. I also wonder whether he buys lottery tickets at the gas station?

I think he cut an RB (we have a million of 'em). He is just churning the bottom of the roster. Good GM's do that. I expect we will see this when the "Big Cutdown" happens and teams cut from 90 to 53. That will put well over 1,000 players out there, and I'd be surprised if there isn't an upgrade or two in that mix. I keep coming back to the thought that quality depth is more important than ever with the level of injuries we see now.
AAny ideas as to why he went undrafted (Shark ----- do not answer that is was because no team drafted him)
Well, it WAS because no team drafted him... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also, I believe Poles is trying to corner the market on Jaylons. It might be a cost saving thing for the McC's. All template letters memos etc wont have to be edited if everybody is named Jaylon...
I did some quick research and found his scouting report weaknesses:
-While Hutchings has violent hands, he uses them too inconsistently. Hutchings tends to let blockers get into his chest, and he’ll waste time hand fighting due to a limited array of pass rush moves. -Inconsistent in his ability to separate from blocks, however, making him more of a nuisance than a snap-to-snap terror. -Hutchings doesn’t show much in the way of dynamic change-of-direction ability on counter moves, and he also has a limited repertoire of pass-rushing moves.
But also...
Hutchings suffered a torn meniscus at the end of the 2023 season causing him to miss Texas Tech's Independence Bowl win over Cal and likely causing him to remain unsigned by an NFL team given that he was unable to work out for franchises.
So there it is, he was undrafted because he wasn't drafted, but it might have been due to an injury.

Have you ever considered journalism?
No, I don't have journalism - I don't discriminate against journals.

I agree — up to a point. The #2 on depth chart is important, but by the time you get to #3 you hope you don’t have to go there.
