Yards are meaningless, points are what matters, Bears are only averaging 17 ppg, down from 20 ppg last year.
And the entire well they were down thing has so resoundingly been debated and proven false that it's laughable to even be brought up. You don't move on from the rush b/c your down 3-7 points in the first qtr and 1/2. Loggains has been WAY to quick to pull that trigger. Hell being down 10-14 at half isn't a reason to give up on the run as much as he has.
That's my biggest complaint with Logg--the abandonment of the run too fast and too often. It's all the more strange lately given that he's playing with a 3rd string QB and a WR corps that is a joke.
[Play a drinking game watching the bears WRs. Take a drink every time Butterfingers Bellamy drops a ball, runs a terrible route, fails to get his feet in, falls down, or jumps for a pass he didn't need to jump for. I assure you that you'll be utterly wasted by the 4th Q.]
The only "strength" left on the O is he run blocking by the OL. So I don't understand why Howard isn't getting 25 carries a game with Cary/Langford getting 5-10 more.
Ah yes the Josh Bellamy version of the old Bob Newhart drinking game resurrected. We had to drink every time someone said Bob and the cast said it a lot. I think Bob was loading up on beer and liquor stocks back then. Must have made a fortune too. LOL
Bellamy continues to prove to me why he's such a STeams ace and should be allowed nowhere near a thrown ball.
