I don't expect this to happen this year. But it's not completely off the table. There are a lot of moving parts to the season that can impact every team in the division - and certainly impact the Bears in a positive or negative way. At this very early stage though, it sure looks like the Bears will be competitive with everyone.

Its going to come down to:

injuries
whose DEF steps up
rookies and QB development
coaching

I'd put Lions/Packers ahead of the Bears at this point only because I don't know about Williams. But if Love or Goff take a step back, all hell breaks lose in the division. Only team I'm not worried about is the Vikings. They are a team built to win now and I don't see their QB situation as a winning one even with McCarthy.

And we don't know conclusively how good Jordan Love is, and for sure how good Green Bay will be this year. The Lions are legit, but the Bears have been able to play with them, so maybe with this new offense we can do well with them too in '24.

I have thought about GB also. I should watch them more, but some things I just can't stand to do. I do not know how good the team is around the QB. How good the D is.... How good todays WRs are, etc. Love has looked solid to me, but the rest of those guys affect his game too.

I watched most of the NFC North games last year.
GB had a stout D and the backs are damn good as well. Detroit is REAL solid, damn strong up front but they have had a bit of bad luck with their backs due to injuries and suspensions.

The entire 2005 season, people kept reminding him of his promise. He wound up eating a cake made to look like a laptop.
