Greg Gabriel - It’s Time to Say I Was Wrong

These guys have to put out copy. Copy that they know people want to read. SO many times it's rushed and slanted towards clickbait. Just kinda the way it is.

Maybe I am too critical of the press, but these guys like to think of themselves as journalists and newsmen.  IMO, those titles require a modicum of effort and professionalism. And the coverage being provided basically contains none of either effort or professionalism.  Just pump out a "product" with the minimum of work and/or actual content.

It is so heartbreaking to watch people continue to believe stuff that can be researched themselves for accuracy - that is clearly NOT factual - and instead accept it as gospel truth.  Regarding sports and the Bears, I was duped by the initial reports about Caleb Williams and was worried he was the guy depicted as a nutcase... but I did start diving in and researched the claims for myself.  And one by one, these claims were revealed to be bogus.  On social media though, you still have a sizable bunch of people who truly believe CW is this horrible guy, and a complete Ahole.
