The irony of all this is I don't think anyone here would rank our current OL much beyond the top half of the league. And that would be with a qualification of everyone stays healthy.

If we were to sign a healthy Connor Williams and use the free agent veterans (Shelton & Bates) we signed as depth players, we could have a very solid OL

And the recent PFF ranking of our defensive backfield is just as wacky. I've seen lots of opinions all over social media that they will likely be a top 10 backfield, if not a top 5 backfield. IMO if we get a real step up by Dexter and Pickens, we will easily have a top 5 backfield.

Lorin Cox YouTube today has a very realistic report on all 5-6 of the projected starters on the OL. They will rank 12-15 in the league, and worse if Jenkins/Davis don’t play 15 games. I want Bears to try the rookie at guard. That’s where he’s going to be needed, if Brax and Wright improve this year. He says Brax needs to improve to keep the LT job long-term, and Wright needs to play better to look like a top-10 pick.
