I was just listening to the most recent Hoge & Jahns podcast. It was their observations/impressions on the recent minicamp. It starts with a lot of discussion regarding Caleb Williams. But the part I am most interested in was a discussion about the defensive line (starting about 18:46 in the video below). I had heard that Gervon Dexter had really reworked his body and increased muscle mass and was moving a lot better. They covered that as well as Dominique Robinson. They didn't get into Robinson too much, but I'm seeing hints on social media that he has really ramped up his body and may be playing this season at or about 270 (up from 250). I am wondering if Bears coaching staff & Poles are playing a wait and see game with how these two guys look before doing something to add a player to the DL. If Dexter can play a decent #T role and Robinson has better power as a DE and really set/hold his edge, our DL could be scary.
But like Hoge and Jahns said, we have to wait for the pads to go on.

It was always a project to transform D Robinson into a defensive edge. It's year three. There's plenty of room in the defensive lineman room for him. He just has to take it. Maybe he is ready.

Like Hoge & Jahns said on the podcast, we need to see what both guys look like once they get the pads on.
