My take on the "winning rings" point that Stroud made, is that it's not all on the quarterback. Not all. There are so many moving parts to actually winning a Super Bowl. If I'm being honest, I have to admit that Aaron Rodgers is a great quarterback. I'll give him that.
We like to talk about the goal for the Bears is to win a Super Bowl. And obviously that is the goal. But successfully pulling that off is crazy difficult because the entire team has to be at a great level to do it. The QB1 is an important piece, but it's not all of the pieces (players, coaches, depth, schemes - even good health for your star players - and a bit of luck too). I don't think it's all on AR that the Packers only won 1 championship with him. And the talk about Stafford being a better QB than AR? That's laughable. He's not.

No way Stafford is better than Rodgers.
QB vs QB? I'd have to agree. But put them on a team and see how a team reacts and wants to play for him? Stafford might yet be the better QB

Agreed. Erin was looking out for his stats and only his stats. Didn't care about the team or the other players. Not a team player. I figure that's the main reason he only got the one.

So by that reasoning you’d want Eli over Marino then. It’s a team sport. That 2014 team that lost to Seattle in the NFCCG should have won a ring. But many of those years we had epic bad defenses. The special teams blunder in a game that was in hand against SFO. It’s really friggin hard to win the SB
