LINK PFF predicts Bears will be in bottom half of NFL this season Why the football analytics site is low on the Bears' chances to take a big step forward this season
The popular narrative around the NFL this season is that the Bears will be much improved compared to last year. Pro Football Focus isn’t buying the hype, however. On Wednesday, PFF released their rankings of every NFL roster and they put the Bears at No. 20 overall. They believe they’ll win eight games, or fewer.

I've said it before: PFFft...
Thing is, nobody knows. I can say we'll win 10 or 12 or 6 or even 8. BiH can say whatever number he wants. So can you. Will we all three agree? Maybe, maybe not. If not, who's right? We won't know until the games are played. And I'll guarantee we'll all pick wrong at some point.
Also, EVEN IF we only win 8 games, we WILL still be much improved over last year. At least in the way the games are played. And that's what matters to me.

We will win all 29 games. And no way am I wrong this time.

I have thought about what we will do in the 2024 season. And I keep drawing a complete blank.
There have been so many changes over the last 2/3 years, and we have a ton of young guys on the roster who could end up playing really well or who could need another year to develop or who could end up being effectively a bust.
A prime example is Tevin Jenkins. Can he stay healthy for an entire season? Or on the DL, how will Dexter and Pickens step up in their second year? If all three have solid seasons, play relatively well and stay relatively healthy, I can easily see us with a 10+ win season. And very much in the hunt for the NFCN crown.
On the other hand, if we continue to have issues with consistency and depth at OG and Caleb Wiliams hits a few bumps in the road, it could be a long and disappointing season. And I am positive that every organization (PFF, PFT, all the bloggers and media outlets) all struggle with this.
We will win all 29 games. And no way am I wrong this time.
Gotta admit that is encouraging, BIH. BTW, I can see that you must have your MSU degree in Accounting. Next year I need to hire you to do our taxes.
PFF has calculated the exact number of hurries Caleb Williams is going to face, and they have determined it to be too much to give the Bears a chance of a winning season.

What was their calculation on how many times he would have to tie an o-linemans shoelaces?

It was >/= 1, so that alone brings them down a game.
What bothers me about PFF is they don't have a formula to incorporate moxie, grit, or poise into their win/loss rankings. The Bears are off the charts when you measure those.

I gave up on PFF when I found out they did not have a "Mike Tice Pixie-Dust" factor included in their metric formula. And come to think of it, they never included the summer training camp factor, of how he would have the offensive linemen work hours hammering that on that old-school blocking sled - with him riding riding around the Bourbonnais practice fields on top of it, cackling like a madman. Dude was brilliant. Simply brilliant.
