Prior to the season I think fans were calling this one of the many "easy" games on our "soft" 2016 schedule. Anyway, the "cake walk" 2016 schedule continues. What's your prediction for this one?
p.s. I see that some are already talking about our "easy" 2017 schedule. Gotta laugh or I'd cry...
I think we should wait and see before saying the schedule is tough or easy.
+1 Judging a team by its past year's performance is not always accurate for the coming season. Teams do change in a year. In fact, I think there is a good possibility that we are one of those teams. Stupid fans on other teams may look on their team's upcoming 2017 schedule, see the Bears on there, and figure that is an automatic "easy" win. But they will not be playing the 2016 Bears team with 19 IR'ed players. Hopefully we have a team 100% stronger/better and healthier. Granted, only time will tell. But to just blindly "assume" that teams in 2017 are the same teams as 2016 is pretty ignorant. Teams can change in a year. I hope we are one of them.

I think the Bears will be a different team next year. Will they be in the playoffs next year? I don't know. One thing for sure is the young players is getting valuable playing experience and they could be better players next season. Just as long the Bears are healthy next year.

looking at our roster right now and even thinking we would be healthy... wouldn't you think that this is a W too?
I don't think I'd consider the Bears a Team I have to worry about. This has to Change.
Think the Bears will find another way to lose a close game... Making it frustrating...
That's why we need to play for that draft pick.
When are you going it through your head that they are not going to play for a draft pick. How about they just keep playing hard and if they win, they win. If they lose, they lose. Chances are they will lose anyway but I want them to keep playing hard. Who the hell wants to watch a team give up?

Here's the problem with doing that. Next year, nobody will be playing the 2016 team with 19 IR'd players, and no 2017 players in the mix. Teams will WISH they could play the 2016 Bears. Wishful thinking won't get 'em that opportunity though. We could be crappy again. Or not. Nobody really knows until the games are played. Some crap teams will DEFINITELY be crap teams next year, but that isn't a given. A lot can change from year-to-year for NFL teams. Hope it's us & we have a very solid year. Man, we are due. Overdue.
EDITED: I guess we just hit 20 on IR today. Eddie Goldman bit the dust for the season.

+1 That is an excellent point. Even the guys who will go back to being depth players next year when our starters are healthy again, those players should be MUCH more solid depth players. A championship caliber team needs quality depth too. You see that with the Patriots. A guy goes down - even Tom Brady - and Belichick just trots out another guy and keeps on winning. LOL, granted we are not the Patriots, but my point is that the quality of your depth players ARE important too. This year has allowed the Bears to get an extended look at our young depth players due to the starters being injured. It's not a situation you would choose (having an NFL-league leading IR list) but there is the side benefit of young bench guys getting valuable game reps as starters.

I agree. I think 50% of the players who playing are more backup players than starters. Also if anybody on the team quits, they are gone. That is why they are playing hard.
