I really liked this. A very balanced look at the draft. He rated it an A, which I agree with.
But it is a balanced view, so for those that only want to hear how great every decision the Bears make is great and must be defended at all costs, don't bother. There are some criticisms and I know not everyone can condone that.
That is a good view of the overall draft and he makes some great points, even about the punter pick in the 4th. I don't agree with him but that's fine. Some analysts love it. Some hate it. But hey, I'm fine with folks not liking the pick, and I understand the logic for not liking it. I like the pick and I like it there - if he's your guy and a starter for the next 10 or so years at a position of need, then I'm all in for taking the guy before someone else steals him. We are talking about a 4th round pick, so again, I figure that if that's the worst quibble about this draft then the Bears did well.

I think everyone views the draft as a success. At least I hope so. I know I do. The punter thing doesn't affect the draft very much. I think we could have gotten him further down and gotten an extra pick. Would that pick have been a Tom Brady type pick. Not likely, so no biggie. The big picture is that they did well and the team is a better team than before the draft. That is what's supposed to happen

And it would be pretty weird if all Bears fans and sports media people agreed on everything. And laughing a bit over the T. Taylor punter pick hype. Half the fun is debating this stuff back and forth.

I like the punter pick. This is one of the few positions where there’s no big learning curve in the college>NFL transition. I am confident he’s a significant upgrade. In a close game, a good/bad punt can change field position dramatically affecting the game. We’ve all seen it 100 times.
