I know they don't look cool. But (selfishly) as a fan I get so dejected when our guys are out with concussions. It seems to really affect our Olinemen. Yeah, obviously player health is most important here. But I also want to keep our best players on the field, not missing time in concussion protocol. It's too bad they can't make them look better.
I wonder if some "name guys" might adopt wearing them, and others follow suit then?

I know it doesn't look 'cool' but if it helps player saftey so be it.

I was going to ask if they were of Martian origin?
I agree about safety. But, this not only doesnt look cool, this looks horrible
I've got an idea that will make it look more cool. Maybe the Bears can model the look to be more like the fan, "Bearman" look - shape it into a bear shape... and maybe even consider the bear claws on the arm thing too:
seems like they need to find a way to add the helmet decor onto those things.
I'm guessing people thought OG hard helmets looked dumb compared to the leather ones back in the day also though. This isn't about physical injury, this is about brain injury; it's a big difference, no one has sued the NFL over bodily harm in the past.

+1 I agree, the danger to these young people is a "real thing" and needs to be addressed. But in addition to that, as a fan I just hate it when a great Bears player is out with a concussion for multiple games. It sucks. Anything that keeps our players in games is something to be pursued.
I wish they could somehow find a way to reduce the knee injuries too. But that's probably a pipe dream. In the meantime, if they can cut down on these concussions, I'm all-in for it.
